A few obsessions this week
Watermelon smoothies!!! They are a great way to cool off this week. It is a wonderful ice cream alternative for me. When Mr. C is eating his Klondike bars. Both of us lost a lot of weight last week. He lost 8 pounds and I lost 5.5!!!
Music: PS22 Choir!!! I listened to them for four hours the other night and then probably another good hour Saturday morning! They have a blog and I find their teacher incredibly inspirational. He is so passionate about what he does and these students are extremely talented. If you haven't heard of them check them out. They surely brightened my weekend!
A Simple Great Date: Mr. C and I decided to get up, get dressed, and drive to the middle of no where. We did this to escape the city lights. Sit in the back of the truck, stare up at the sky and watch the Perseid Meteor Shower. It was a first for the both of us. I squealed with delight. We also realized I have been away from the country when a cow, "mooed" and I had no idea what that sound was.
Old Pictures Found:
Things that make me drool:
I bought the September Issue of Vanity Fair to read the Lady GaGa Interview and fell head over heels GAGA for pair of Tom Ford eyeglass frames from his 2010 Fall collection!
Favorite Pictures captured this week:
(I have to explain that I had 1st moved all of the furniture from the room, cleaned carpets, moved furniture back in the room, and Mr. C was in the midst of washing bedding. Diva had frantically been pacing for hours in fear that we were moving. When the bed was moved back in the bedroom this is where I found her. You never see her sleeping without a blanket.)
A short while later she was found wedged between the blankets still partially folded. She must have been exhausted.
Great texts from the best friends:
Happy Birthday!!!!!
These obsessions are each amazing, for their very own reasons! That why you are such an extraordinary person; you enjoy the simple things in life and that, my friends, is what's truly important.
